Welcome to Grantsville Dance Center!
Grantsville Dance Center is dedicated to providing quality dance instruction to all of our students. We want to let children be children in a safe environment where parents don't have to worry what their children are being taught or exposed to so we place a high priority on self-worth, modest costumes, fun music without explicit lyrics, and age appropriate choreography.
Classes We Offer
Embrace Your Love of Dance
Recreation Combo ClassesÂ
Ages 3-5
Dancers love the opportunity to explore the new dance moves taught in these classss which include Tap, Ballet, Jazz, and Tumbling. Â Our amazing instructors make sure everyone gets individual attention while keeping the class collaborative. These classes perform one dance in the Winter Recital and two dances in the Spring Recital.
Recreation Combo Classes Ages 6-up
These combo classes focus on Jazz and Ballet/Lyrical. The instructors are committed to giving each student attention while also moving the class forward. These classes will perform one dance in the Winter Recital and two dances in the Spring Recital.
Technique Classes
Ages 6-up
Technique is the basis of all fundamentals of dance from holding your body correctly while performing to executing the movements correctly in a routine.  These classes focus on proper technique for varying skill levels. Technique classes are required for those on competition teams. These classes do not perform in the recitals.
Recreation Tumbling ClassesÂ
Ages 6-up
These classes are skill based classes for Novice, Beginner, and Intermediate tumbling students.  As students master skills in basic level classes they can be moved up to higher level classes as the instructor sees fit.  These classes will perform one routine all together in both the Winter and Spring Recitals.
Recreation Cheer Classes ages 7-up
Students in these classes will get exposure to both Cheerleading and Tumbling along with stunting and Pom. Â The Cheer classes will perform one routine in the Winter Recital and two routines in the Spring Recital.
Competition Dance Classes
Competition Dance teams include a combination of jazz and lyrical or contemporary dance styles for ages 6-up.  All competition teams are skill level based and team placement is by audition only. These teams are also required to take a technique class. Competition Teams compete at 2-3 competitions within the state.  They also perform one dance at the Winter Recital and two dances at the Spring Recital.
Special Needs Dance Class
Our studio is committed to bringing joy and the benefits of dance and music to students with different cognitive levels of learning. Class is kept small and each dancer has one to two teacher helpers with them. This class performs one dance in the Winter and Spring recitals.

Turning Camp (June 10-13)
12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. Novice & Beginning Dancers ages 6-up
1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Beginning + & Intermediate Dancers ages 9-up (teacher approval required before registering for this level).

Turning Camp is $50 per dancer & no registration fee.
Leap Camp (June 17-20)
12:00 p.m.-1:00 Novice & Beginning Dancers ages 6-up
1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Beginning+ & Intermediate Dancers ages 9-up (teacher approval required before registering for this level).

Leap Camp is $50 per dancer & no registration fee.

Competition Team Tryouts (July 27, 2024)
Dancers must have at least two years of recent dance experience to tryout and must be 6 years old by July 1st. Please come in dance attire with hair pulled back.
9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. ages 6-7
10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. ages 8-9
11:00 a.m.-12:45 a.m. ages 10-11
12:45 p.m.-2:00 p.m. ages 12-up
Pricing
For all competitive and recreation dancers there is a $35 registration fee. If there are multiple dancers within the same family the registration fee is $35 for the first child and $30 for every family member after that.

Monthly Tuition is as follows:
$46.00 45 min.-1.5 hrs a week
$76.00 2.0/2.5 hours a week
$106.00 3.0/3.5 hours a week
$136.00 4.0/4.5 hours a week

All dancers will be required to purchase appropriate dancewear for classes and performances. There is also a recital fee of $30 per family that is due by October 1.
Competition Team dancers will pay competition fees that apply.

***There is not a separate costume fee. A portion of monthly tuition goes toward costumes each month as long as the student completes the full season. If your student quits before the end of the season or starts mid-year, you are required to pay the remaining balance.

****Special Needs Class only pays for registration, recital fee, and costumes.
